It’s been a month since the Auroville marathon (didn’t get that sub 3.30 that I wanted) and I’ve gotten pretty lazy. Need some inspiration to start those morning runs again. Any ideas? Must lose sleep over it!

Just finished reading Chris McDougall’s ‘Born to Run’ and have to say it’s one of the best running books I’ve read. I think it caters to a a lot of audiences - not only runners. It inspires and explains what ultrarunning is all about (other than running)! A must read! You can buy a signed copy of the book here. Happy reading!

It’s been a busy year… and year ends aren’t the most look forward to when it comes to setting goals. The big question looms - do I run longer or faster? I wish I could do both. It’s been 4 years now since I’ve been running, there are quite a few things that still remain targets - like the battle to qualify for Boston or do a sub 3hr marathon. Hopefully these will happen in the next 2 years, so long as I’m not lazy (which has been happening of late) and seriously train. So let me list my goals for the coming year:
1. 5k PB - sub 20 min
2. 10k PB - sub 40 min (39.59 would qualify!)
3. Marathon PB - sub 3.30
4. Find trails outside Bangalore - preferably hills - Kemmangundi, kodachaadri, Edakumeri etc.
That said I think i will update this more often
Going to take up the “DaD challenge” (Design a Day!)
