Latest Work – Mural done at My Sunny Balcony Store

Haven’t really done a mural of this size (though some may call it small) in a long time. First time working with emulsion paint. Was quite happy with most of the mural – in parts it didn’t turn out as I wanted it. The reason for the mural was to give the room more depth. The room itself is about 10ftx10ft with a height of 12ft. I initially started with a photograph I found and then adapted it to the space.

I used strings as a grid which I had discovered makes things a lot easier and avoids a lot of unnecessary pencil marks. Also its a great way of getting proportions right. Here a a few photos of the stages and final result. Thanks for looking :-)
